This class uses Chrome Music Lab, a website that makes learning music more accessible through fun, hands-on experiments. You can play with these experiments across devices – phones, tablets, laptops – just by opening the site on a web browser such as Chrome.
This program requires a stable internet connection and an electronic device capable of running a video chat (Google Hangouts, Zoom, etc.) while having an internet browser open to run Chrome Music Lab at the same time. Most tablets, laptops, and computers are more than adequate, as Chrome Music Lab is entirely browser based and does not require any downloads. If you are interested in participating in this program but do not have internet or an electronic device, you may be able to check out a hot spot and/or Chromebook from the library, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
In this two part program, teens will learn how to experiment and create their own music taught by Brett Haynes, this program will meet virtually via video chat on Wednesday and Thursday from 3 to 4 PM.
