Full Body P-ART-TAY | A EN-SUCI-ARTE!
Lets play with paint! In this very messy camp, kids are encouraged to really dig into how paint moves and flows to embolden and give them a thorough understanding of the medium. Students will pour paint down student created obstacle courses, sling shot, drop from heights and generally get up to their eyeballs in paint.

Grades 5 and up are invited to experiment with creative techniques.
This class is led by Michael Stout. Michael grew up painting in alleyways and train yards and has since designed logos that grace police cars and public buildings. In this workshop participants will experiment with drawing letterforms and developing can control with spray paint.

Get outside and make art! This camp will give participants the opportunity to explore Carbondale and its surrounding area, learn about the plants and animals that call this place their home and make artwork that is inspired by and builds awareness about our ecosystem.

Creative Apprentice Program: Zine Project
The Creative Apprentice Program offers teens (14-19) an opportunity to work with local creative professionals to create works of community value. Up to 6 teens will be paid to work on a mini magazine.
Over the course of the project apprentices will work under the guidance of lead artist Lindsay Jones to develop a guide to their community. The guide will be both practical and poetic and will feature physical sites, cultural resources and displays of social realities.

This is going to be a messy ride. It’s time to get moving and do big art. Students should arrive to class in painting clothes and be ready for a couple hours of throwing, splattering, rolling in paint. We will explore techniques of artists who have put the paint brush down and picked their creativity up.

Art + Ecology + Stewardship | Arte + Ecología + Mayordomía
Get outside and make art that helps the environment. This camp will create pollinator sculptures that will be installed along the ARTway section of the Rio Grande Trail. Participants will get their hands dirty and the creative juices flowing by working to install a garden and create habitat for beneficial insects, helping to maintain the Rio Grande Trail and learning from local experts about all things art and ecology.

Creative Apprentice Project: Landscape Interventions
Interested in earning money and learning about the creative professions this summer? Consider the Carbondale Arts Creative Apprentice Program: Landscape Design project. Teens 14-19 are encouraged to apply by May 20th.
Group will meet Mondays and Wednesdays 10AM-2PM, June 13-July 27th (we will not meet the week of July 4th or 11th)
Students must be 14-19 years old, live in the valley and be able to attend all sessions.
Participants earn $12.50/hr
