Artist Opportunities: April

Hello, Artists of the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond,
New opportunities for Local Creative Involvement below...please share with other creatives!

Seeking Artists for Carbondale Mountain Fair Valley Artists’ Booth
Due May 15

The 2024 Valley Artists' Booth will be at the 53rd Annual Mountain Fair here in Carbondale on July 26-28. The shared booth allows local artists to exhibit and sell their artwork in a cooperative, inexpensive way. Gallery space is very limited, and artwork is juried.

Accepted artisans must be current members of Carbondale Arts and reside in an "816" ZIP code area. Submissions must be your own handmade (not manufactured, not imported) work. Criteria for judging include quality and uniqueness of items.

Artists are required to assist with set-up and breakdown, and to work shifts during the fair. Carbondale Arts will provide the tent, pro panels and pedestals. Artists are responsible for their own display. Carbondale Arts will handle the accounting and collect sales tax.

See link below to apply by Wednesday, May 15. Direct questions to brian@carbondalearts.com.

Carbondale Arts Artist Fellowship Program
2024 Applications due June 3

2023 Fellowship Recipients

Carbondale Arts is pleased to offer another year of the Artist Fellowship Program (AFP). The AFP is for artists and creatives of any genre, who need some funding to help them further their career, their art, or their ideas. We believe that there is great value in fostering creativity and inspiration. These grants help further the mission of Carbondale Arts of building community through art, the vision of the Carbondale Creative District to support the creative industries.

The Carbondale Arts Fellowship will award $8,000 in scholarships in 2024; four successful applicants will each receive one $2,000 award. This fellowship was created to honor the legacy of Allegheny Meadows by an anonymous donor and is now supported by the Wolfpack Foundation and Carbondale Arts event supporters. These grants are highly competitive; thorough, passionate and well thought-out responses are encouraged when filling out the application. The criteria is fairly open for these grants, and any artist residing within a ZIP code beginning with "816" may apply.

Please email staci@carbondalearts.com with questions or call the Carbondale Arts office at (970) 963-1680.

Applications due June 3, by 5:00pm
