Carbondale Arts presented “50 Years of Fair”, an exhibition looking back at fifty years of the Carbondale Mountain Fair, on display July 9-31, 2021.

Travel through time in this first-ever gallery exhibition about the history of Mountain Fair, which began here in Carbondale in the summer of 1972. Curated artifacts, photographs, film, and stories filled the R2 Gallery, giving perspective on where we've been, who we are, and why community plays such an important part in the fair.

Check out KDNK radio for the Mountain Fair Podcast featuring stories shared by fairgoers near and far over the years. Special thanks to Terry Glasenapp, Laura Stover, and the Carbondale Historical Society.

Also, a special thank you to Karp Neu Hanlon, P.C. for generously sponsoring this exhibition!
