Carbondale Arts 2027 Gallery Proposals Open
Deadline to submit is May 4, 2026
Do you have an idea for an art exhibition? Carbondale Arts is always looking for fresh inspiration and new artists! We host art exhibitions featuring local and regional artists at The Launchpad in our award-winning gallery. The majority of our shows run from 4-5 weeks at a time and are invitational, juried, or open call. Exhibitions in the Carbondale Arts Gallery are planned a year in advance.
Carbondale Arts presents a dynamic range of exhibitions throughout the year. Exhibition proposals for our 2027 calendar year are now open and due May 4, 2026. There is no fee to submit this form until March 15, 2026; after that date we’ll implement a nonrefundable $30 fee.

Chinook Fund Grant Spring Cycle Open
Deadline is February 16
Chinook Fund is now accepting applications for our Spring 2026 grant cycle, and we have a grant workshop coming up! Chinook Fund provides grants ($4,000 or $10,000) for Colorado organizations working to challenge the root causes of oppression.
For new Chinook Fund grantseekers or past grantees that need a refresher on our grant application process, join our next grant application workshop on Tuesday, January 27th from 2:30 –4:30 pm via Zoom. R.S.V.P today!

Basalt Public Arts Commission Grants Open
Apply by February 20
Since 2019, the Basalt Public Arts Commission (BPAC) has solicited applications for the Town’s annual grant program. Grants of up to $10,000 are made available to local artists, organizations, and nonprofits that meet the grant criteria, which focuses on public art and cultural opportunities that encourage appreciation, education, and participation in the arts within the Basalt community. Funding may be used for one-time or continuing public arts projects and programs that have a measurable benefit within Basalt.

Roaring Fork Drawing Club
Meets every Tuesday
The Roaring Fork Drawing Club began in the fall of 2017 with a couple of art friends, Lindsay Jones (graphic designer/illustrator) and Brian Colley (painter/illustrator). Drawing Club is a free, informal social group open to all skill-levels with no teachers and no specific themes: just an opportunity to get out your sketchbook (or coloring book, notepad, bar napkin collection, etc) and meet fellow sketchers in our community. We do not provide supplies, so bring whatever you need to draw with! We kindly ask that anyone under the age of 18 be joined by a parent/guardian.
We typically meet every week in the summer, usually in and around Carbondale, and about every other week or so in fall/winter/spring. You can always message us on IG @rfdrawingclub or email us at rfdrawingclub@gmail.com with questions/comments/suggestions.
Glenwood Springs Art Guild Opportunities

Since 1962 the Glenwood Springs Art Guild has promoted participation in the visual arts through camaraderie, helpful and warm encouragement, and opportunities for art education. We also get together just to have fun, and to enjoy and expand our mutual interest in visual arts. We’re better because we’re together!
Some of us are professional level, others are tiptoeing into producing and exhibiting our art. New members are welcome, as are demonstrations and workshops by other local artists.

Figure Drawing at The Art Base

This monthly class offers a supportive, community-focused space to practice, experiment, and strengthen observational drawing skills. Light instruction and guidance will be available, making it perfect for beginners and experienced artists who want to draw regularly and stay inspired. Cost is $20, sign up at the link below.

The Art Base is seeking both experienced and first-time figure models to support our monthly figure drawing sessions. Models are paid $32 per hour for 2.5-hour sessions, held on the last Thursday of each month.
Models pose nude or semi-nude (in a bathing suit), so applicants should be comfortable with at least one of these options. Poses will vary based on the instructor’s guidance, and support is available for models who would like assistance developing poses.
Sessions include five-minute breaks approximately every 20 minutes. Models are asked to provide their own dressing robe.

Call for Photograph for Puzzling!
Submissions due January 25
Carbondale Rec Center is now accepting submissions for a Carbondale-themed photo to be applied to a 500-piece puzzle.
Submit a photo to be turned into a 500-piece puzzle for the Carbondale Rec Center’s Puzzle & Pie event. Multiple entries allowed, submissions due by January 25th. Any submission should represent Carbondale and should be a minimum of 1625 x 2025 pixels (4:5 ratio).

Call for Entries at the Aspen Chapel Gallery
Deadline to enter is February 4
“40 Years of Art”: A valley-wide art exhibition benefiting the Aspen Chapel Gallery, showing local artists & building community for 40 years.
This show is open to ALL ARTISTS in the Roaring Fork Valley. Exhibition dates are February 25 - March 27, 2026.
Artwork must be framed and ready to hang. 3 dimensional work is welcome, must be ready for display. Gallery will Hang Salon Style. Art will sell directly off the wall during the show. There is a fee of $40.00 per entry, up to 3 entries, plus a 30% commission on sales.

Call for Entry: Carbondale Public Art Commission
Deadline is February 10
The Town of Carbondale, CO Public Art Commission is seeking 15 outdoor street sculptures for the annual rotating "Art Around Town" show. Each artist is allowed the opportunity to display up to four original sculptures with a $1,000 honorarium per sculpture awarded by the Selection Committee. An increased amount of $500 will also be awarded to all selected artists as a travel allowance.
This highly recognized and esteemed show is located in downtown Carbondale, CO, on Main St. and the Rio Grande Trail. The Town of Carbondale, CO is located 30 miles from Aspen and draws in a diverse local and international community for art appreciation, as well as being included in a Creative Arts District. The Public Art Commission assists in the marketing and sales of the sculptures to enhance the possibility of an artist commission. An Artist Reception and Community Art Walk takes place on June 4, 2026, and artist attendance is highly recommended.
The Art Base 2027 Exhibition Applications
Deadline is February 20, 2026
Applicants may apply for a solo exhibition and may also choose to be considered for group and/or affiliate exhibitions. Applications must be submitted through CaFÉ. Applications submitted by email or in person will not be considered.
Proposals for bodies of work that have previously been exhibited together in the Roaring Fork Valley will not be considered.
The application period will close on February 20. Applications will be reviewed by the Exhibitions Committee, with notifications sent in spring 2026.
Artists must live within an 85-mile radius of The Art Base to be eligible for exhibitions.
