In an effort to professionally exhibit artwork in our R2 Gallery space, we will only be able to accommodate 60 artworks (one work per artist) in our upcoming 40th Annual Valley Visual Art Show (opening Friday, January 17, 2020) on a LOTTERY-BASED entry system. Artists not selected in the lottery will be given the option to show their wall-hanging artworks at Bonfire Coffee on Main Street through the duration of the Valley Visual Art Show.

Notification sent by email to all who entered the lottery. Lottery winners will also be notified by email regarding which of their 2 entries is accepted.

INFO YOU WILL NEED TO SUBMIT FOR YOUR 2 ENTRIES:
Title, Medium, Dimensions (wall-hanging works not to exceed 30″H x 30″W including frame, pedestal works not to exceed 75″H x 24″W x 24″D), and Price (including the 25% commission).
Images will be required with your submission for the jurying process upon completing this registration. Email images as jpeg attachments (5MB or less) to firstname.lastname@example.org. High resolution images are needed for marketing purposes.
Entry fee: $25 required to enter the lottery. Fee will be refunded within 30 days if you are not selected in the lottery and choose not to show your 2D work at Bonfire Coffee.
Carbondale Arts Membership (you may register online). Required to participate and DUE UPON WINNING the lottery.
Joining or renewing your membership before the lottery will not increase your chances of winning, but is always a good way to support Carbondale Arts!
The 40th Annual Valley Visual Art Show is open to all artists who are current members of Carbondale Arts and reside in an ‘816XX’ zip code. Carbondale Arts annual memberships are $50 for individuals, $100 for families and $25 for seniors/students and may be paid online, over the phone, or in person at The Launchpad upon winning the VVAS lottery.
All submitted artwork for the Valley Visual Art Show must be original (no giclee reproductions, please!), for sale, created within the last 12 months, and not previously shown at Carbondale Arts’ R2 Gallery. Accepted work which differs significantly from the submitted images will be disqualified from the show.
SUBMISSIONS & SIZE RESTRICTIONS
Two (2) pieces MUST be submitted for consideration and one (1) work will be selected from each artist who is selected in the VVAS lottery. Wall-hanging works may not exceed 30″H x 30″W including frame. Pedestal works may not exceed 75″H x 24″W x 24″D. Digital images should be sent to email@example.com after completing the registration. High resolution images are preferred and are more likely to be used for marketing purposes.
FEES & COMMISSION
A $25 entry fee (due at time of registration). A current Carbondale Arts membership is required (upon receiving acceptance notification). Carbondale Arts retains a 25% commission on all sales made during the Valley Visual Art Show.
All work must be gallery ready. Framed wall-hanging artwork should have a wire on the back. All artwork must have label information securely attached upon delivery, including artist name, title, medium, and price.
ARTIST BIO, INFO & IMAGES OF WORK
Email a current digital biography or artist statement after completing this online entry form. Your bio or statement may not exceed 150 words. Submissions over 150 words will not be accepted. Images should be sent as a .jpg, .jpeg, .png, or .pdf at the highest resolution possible to firstname.lastname@example.org.
