A juried show of women artists in painting, photography, collage, fiber arts, sculpture and ceramics.
2013 marks the 3rd year that the SWAN (Support Women Artists Now) initiative will have its fall event at the CCAH R2 Gallery. Over 60 women have taken the opportunity to exhibit their most significant pieces, and the viewing public have responded with appreciation and purchases. The show is one of the most popular of the gallery’s season, and presents an opportunity for the women artists and the art appreciating public to meet and exchange ideas. The event would be greatly enhanced by an up-scale jurying process this year using a curator from outside the valley, a motivating prize roster and an opening night (and preview/patrons night) which the art buying public will feel is well worth participating in.
