Dandelion Day

Join us for a celebration of spring, sustainability, community and our town flower, the dandelion! The Parade of Species starts at 10am, at 2nd & Main Streets in front of KDNK, continuing down Main to Sopris Park. There you will find over 50 vendors, artists, crafters, makers, farmers, ranchers, growers, non profits, and local businesses.

Live music at the stage will play all day, with games in between sets.

Local mixed media artist Ashley Mosher's solo exhibition "Intimate Landscapes" transmits, transforms, and transports the viewer through connection and awareness of their inner experience.

5Point Film is kicking off its 17th annual flagship festival with an art exhibition featuring special guests Tre'lan Michael and Renan Öztürk. Both artists are featured in film premieres at this year's festival and are known for pushing the envelope of creativity through their art.

The Valley Visual Art Show (VVAS) is one of the longest-standing community art shows committed to showing the work of local artists. Beginning in 1980, the VVAS provides an opportunity for local artists to share their work with the community. This show is great for established and budding artists, or those new to the area. 

Opening reception with the artists is Friday, January 19 5-7pm. On display through February 23.

There is nothing like the magic that live garland brings to a space. Come and spend two days at The Launchpad with Vallee Noone who has spent the last decade honing her techniques in creating a holiday wonderland. ⁠Everyone will make their own wreath from scratch, and strategy you can take home to decorate with confidence.

Deck the Walls holiday market in the Carbondale Arts Gallery will be open until 7pm with live performances by Roaring Fork Youth Orchestra.

Para Mi Madre is a juried invitational exhibition inviting Latino artists to create a visual representation of a love letter or an ode to the concept of la madre, the mother. Curated by Vanessa Porras and juried by Tony Ortega and Armando Silva.

On display September 29 – November 3. The opening reception will be First Friday October 6, 5-8pm and will close on November's First Friday Día de los Muertos celebration. The gallery is open weekdays 10am-5pm.

The Schubert MiniFest shines a light on the intimate connection between music and nature, while celebrating the rich diversity of artistic styles and cultural backgrounds in our place and time. Indulge yourselves in two 75-minute sets of chamber music with a 90-minute intermission to enjoy a picnic with an idyllic backdrop of Mt. Sopris on the RVR grounds (PYOP, pack your own picnic). Carbondale Arts presents 2 new exhibitions opening Friday, August 18, from 5-7pm and an artist talk beginning at 5:30pm. “Tiny Shiny Guild” is an invitational show curated by Natasha Seedorf featuring the work of 17 Colorado Mountain College jewelry and metalsmithing students and instructors. “Seen/unSeen: an invitation to presence” features abstract painters Staci Dickerson & Brenda Peters alongside floral artist Shelly Franklin who join together to highlight the liberation that abstract work inspires & to explore the beautiful differences these three artists can create.

Both exhibitions are open through September 21. The Carbondale Arts gallery is open to the public weekdays 10am-5pm.

Presenting “Stone Entropy” featuring three local marble sculptors all living and working within the Crystal River Valley: Chet Haring, Luke Leone, and Gregory Tonozzi, who will exhibit new works both inside the gallery space as well as outside in The Launchpad’s sculpture gardens.
