Art Share 2019, Part 3: A Colorado Creative District Photography Show
Submission deadline is May 3
Colorado Mountain College (CMC), along with the Carbondale Creative District, is mounting three shows in 2019 focusing on artists from Colorado’s Creative Districts. Selected artworks for each exhibition will hang in Morgridge Commons in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, and may travel to other CMC locations in Colorado Creative District areas. All submitted works must be available for sale and be ready to hang. The CMC gallery takes a 30% commission on any sales. A detailed exhibition agreement will be sent to artists upon acceptance. 48th Annual Carbondale Mountain Fair Valley Artists' Booth
July 26-28, 2019
The 48th Annual Mountain Fair hosts the Valley Artists' Booth in Carbondale on July 26-28, 2019. The collective tent space allows local artists to exhibit and sell their artwork in a cooperative, inexpensive way. Gallery space is limited, and artwork is juried. Accepted artisans must be current members of Carbondale Arts and reside in an "816" ZIP code area. Submissions must be your own handmade (not manufactured, not imported) work. Criteria for judging include quality and uniqueness of items.

Call For Artists: Mural Express Project

Carbondale Arts is now seeking artists interested in creating a mural here in Carbondale! Two locations have been chosen: the east wall of the Near New Store on Third Street and the east wall of the Century Link building on 4th St. These are large sized murals. A committee panel will choose two different artists or artist collectives. This call is open to any artist (or creative group) in the world that can produce a mural within our budget. We can't wait to see what unfolds!!

Solo or Group Shows at Bonfire Coffee
Carbondale Arts also manages the artwork shown at Bonfire Coffee, located right on Main Street in downtown Carbondale and is an excellent high-traffic venue to display art. Before taking down our June 2017 exhibition "Correspondence", curator Reina Katzenberger (and owner of max.ink) made a Virtual Reality Digital Archive of the installation using equipment from Mattersport who created an online 3D experience.
