Mountain Laurel Music Preparatory and CCAH present 2010 Summer ClassiKids© Music Camps present…Unlock Your Inner Composer
July 12-15, 2010 8-11 years old, 10:00-3:00 daily
July 19-22, 2010 12-16 years old
At the CCAH Center for the Arts at Third Street Center
Camps will culminate in a performance of Students’ Compositions at the 39th Annual Carbondale Mountain Fair, July 23-25, 2010. Fee: CCAH Members $175.00 non-Members $200.00. Bring your own lunch, snacks provided.
Scholarships Available. Space Limited. MLMP is a 501©(3). Laurel Karlik Sheehan, Director 970-963-7411, ClassiKids© Curriculum Developed by Laurel Karlik Sheehan is based on Grace Cushman’s Musicianship Program, JHU. These camps serve as training grounds for national teachers interested in this curriculum. Aspen Community Church hosts ClassiKids© Camps. (June 8-11- and 14-18, 2010)
Art in Schools
After school art programs for children.Curriculum-based art programs in Carbondale’s public schools. Scholarships to local high school students.
Music Appreciation Series
A series of music appreciation courses with a “field trip” to the Aspen Music Festival.
Humanities Series
“Spirituality in Contemporary Life” lecture series presented by five different speakers.
Valley Visual Arts Show
Valley artists display their work at the CCAH Gallery and the Gordon Cooper Library.
