Operations Manager position available

Deborah Colley, Operations Manager for Carbondale Arts, is leaving her position in August. A job description is listed below. The position will start in July as part time hourly, working along side Deborah. The position will move to 3/4 time in August. Description

Oversees the logistics in keeping Carbondale Arts & The Launchpad organized and running smoothly. This is a salary position.

Skills Needed

  • Writing, editing, and familiarity with AP Formatting
  • Experience using and managing Google Suite, Excel Spreadsheets, online database or application systems such as NEON, Square, Square Space, Paypal, Eventbrite, Volunteer Spot, etc.
  • Organized, self directed, detail oriented
  • Experience in communications and event logistics

Carbondale Arts Press & Media

  • Writes all media copy for use on social Media, website, & newsletter/eblasts in addition to database event registration, PSA’s & press releases
  • Work with ED to create and implement publicity plan
  • Manage PR relationships and press list
  • Send All PR to media outlets in a timely fashion
  • Posts all PSA’s to community calendars

Office

  • Manage office machines, internet systems, answering machines, credit card machines, etc.
  • Manage supplies needed for office, bathrooms, kitchen, etc. & coordinate with specific programming for addition supplies needed (i.e. Artique, Gallery, Rosybelle Bus)
  • Answer general email & phone inquiries
  • Coordinate payments, bills, receipts, donations with accountant
  • Manages All Google Documents & Calendars for Carbondale Arts, Staff Schedules, Gallery, Rosybelle, and coordinates with Launchpad Calendar accordingly

Database

  • Manage All Accounts & general maintenance
  • Creates & Run Reports
  • Track Donations/Memberships
  • Generate Mailings & Manage Automated Communications
  • Create & Manage All Online Registrations, Applications, & Fees
  • Train Staff on Neon as needed

Events

  • Acquire & Coordinate Volunteers For Big Events (see Mountain Fair & Fashion Show below)
  • Support Kat with small event volunteers (gallery events, mailings, etc)
  • Assist ED in coordinating supplies and implementing overall event plans (ie Set Up, Break Down)
  • Manage tickets, guest lists, and registrations for smaller events such as classes, fundraiser dinners, etc.

Fashion Show

  • Logistics support for ED
  • Coordinate Front of House logistics & supplies
  • Support Box Office Manager
  • Coordinate Supervisors & Volunteers

Mountain Fair

  • Coordinate Supplies & Supply Inventory
  • Primary Volunteer Coordinate & work with supervisor team

The Launchpad

  • Manage cleaning schedule, supplies & facility maintenance
  • Oversee Front Of House Staff online studio reservations, inquiries & rental payments
  • Maintain Skedda Calendar as it interfaces with Carbondale Arts programming & events
