"Intimate Landscapes // A visceral collaboration with time, weather, and the living" by Ashley Mosher (Ash/er)

Everything I have created for the show started out as a photograph and morphed into a deeper expression of the intimate landscapes I explore.

Carbondale Arts presents “Intimate Landscapes // A visceral collaboration with time, weather, and the living” a solo exhibition by Carbondale-based artist Ashley Mosher (Ash/er) at the Carbondale Arts Gallery, from April 12 through May 16, 2024. The opening reception will take place on Friday, April 12, from 5-7pm at The Launchpad, with an artist talk at 5:30pm.

“5Point Adventure Film Festival”, a 2-person show featuring works by artists Tre’lan Michael and Renan Öztürk, runs concurrently (April 12 - May 16) in the second gallery space, and has planned an additional artist reception on Thursday, April 25, from 5-6:30pm.

Ashley Mosher (Ash/er) uses her camera to document micro-vistas with little or no post-manipulation, bearing witness to the primal act of seeing and delighting the viewer with quiet ecstasies of mindful wonder. Ash/er’s work is a healing tonic for our distracted world, inviting all of us to look deeper, to take grand pleasure in life’s small details, and to cherish the abounding presence in which all of us are held.
