“This year’s show journeys through the visions of our future from the 1920’s to the world we know today,” said Amy Kimberly, CCAH executive director. Featuring fashion that sparks the imagination, created from recycled and sustainable materials, designers and artists, locally and globally, come together to create a dynamic, alluring, thought-provoking and highly entertaining event. A major fundraiser for CCAH, the fashion show raises money for year-round arts programming — especially in schools — and provides unfettered opportunity for artists, designers, musicians and community to create their art. “Most importantly, it reminds us all to honor our Earth and environment,” said Kimberly.

Sponsorships are available and volunteers are needed. For more information, to volunteer or otherwise participate in the 4th annual Green is the New Black Fashion Extravaganza, please call 970.963.1680.

The 4th annual Green Is the New Black Fashion Extravaganza will be held March 9 and 10 in Carbondale. This year’s show journeys through the visions of our future from the 1920′s to now to bring us to the world we know today. Featuring fashion that sparks the imagination, created from recycled and sustainable materials, designers and artists, locally and globally, come together to create a dynamic, alluring, thought-provoking and highly entertaining event.

This year’s show called, Back to the Future, will explore themes of what we thought our world would be like based on films and books and where we really are today. Fashion and environment dominate the journey. Think Jetsons meets Avatar peppered with cutting edge fashion and design. High fashion, as well as wearable art, grace the runway with multi-media backgrounds, music and theatrics.

To participate as a designer or sponsor in the 2012 show please contact Amy Kimberly at 970.963.1680 or email:mountainfair@sopris.net. To download an application click here.  2012 Fashion SHow Designer Application.
