Carbondale Arts and The Art Base are hosting “Artwork Feedback Nights” as part of their commitment to serving local artists, with the next one to be held on Friday, August 17 from 6-8pm at The Launchpad. Being critiqued isn’t easy but often helps artists problem solve and progress. Insight between artists, peers and critics often spark phenomenal ideas. Feedback Nights are given by professional and accomplished artists and curators in a casual environment (BYOB) with 3 other artists. August’s Artist Review will be facilitated by Christine Anderson. Christine was born and raised in New Jersey. She received her BFA in drawing and painting with a concentration in Art Therapy from the Philadelphia College of Art and an MFA in painting and drawing as well as certification for K-12 Art Education from the University of Denver. Her teaching experience spans nearly 40 years including Arvada center for the Arts and Humanities, Aurora Public Schools, Aspen Public Schools, Denver University, Saint Mary’s Academy, Denver School of the Arts and Anderson Ranch. Christine also served as adjunct art faculty for 30 years at Colorado Mountain College. Other experiences include Administrator and Directing Artist at Prints in Progress in Philadelphia, Education Coordinator at Aspen Art Museum, costume and set designer for The Paul Taylor Dance Company and fabric designer.
Participation in Artwork Feedback Night is limited to four people—artists are invited to bring works in progress or finished works for a 30 minute critique in a casual environment (BYOB). FREE for current members of both Carbondale Arts and the Art Base in Basalt, and just $20 for non-members. The discount promo code is MEMBER. Please email email@example.com to reserve your spot at future session. Other dates in 2018 are September 21 (The Art Base with Tania Dibbs), and October 19 (The Launchpad).
