Pie & Cake Baking

The winners of the 2016 contest in the “Cream Pie” category were Jasmine Liddington with Peach Creme Dream in first place (this pie also won Best in Show), Samantha Soucie with Heavenly Coconut Creamin second place and Jane Holmes with Coconut Cream in third place. “Fruit Pie” first place went to 1st Terry Rodgers with Old fashion Apple, second was Rachel Richards with Grandmas Cherry Pie, and third was Chris Mullally with Cherry Marzipan. For “Exotic Pie” Jeff Liddington took home the win with Banana Rum, Janelle Esminston came in second with Peanut Butter Truffle and Maura Masters came in third with Oatmeal Chocolate.

The winners of the “Cake” contest were Vanessa Gilbert in first place with Lemon Vanilla Unicorn, Kajsan Satro with Garden Berry and Jannelle Edniston with Pumpkin Cheesecake. “Exotic Cake” went to Cholla Nicoll for Flower Power, with Laurie Stone in second for Coco Loco Tiramisu and Jessica Owinges with Adjust Your Latitude Rum Cake.

Better start practicing for this year’s pie and cake baking contest– the competition is stiff! Categories for pie include: Fruit, Cream and Exotic. Categories for cake include: Cake, Exotic and Alternative. All pies and cake must arrive at the pavilion by 10:45am. The Pie Contest is on Saturday and the Cake Contest is on Sunday. Judging begins at 11am. Win First, Second or Third place for all categories or Best in Show! Prizes include money, aprons, fame and bragging rights!
