Rosybelle Mobile Maker Space

We need your help!

“Art has the role in education of helping children become like themselves instead of more like everyone else.” [Sydney Gurewitz Clemens]

At Carbondale Arts we strongly believe that the arts should be accessible to everyone. Nine out of ten American adults agree that the arts are vital to a well-rounded K-12 education and we couldn’t agree more! Which is why we are turning Rosybelle, a big yellow school bus, into a mobile art lab that will merge technology and creativity to inspire opportunity for youth throughout the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond. The bus is set for retrofit in November and should be on the road by February of 2017. A crowd funding campaign is underway now at https://www.generosity.com/education-fundraising/rosybelle-the-mobile-maker-bus–2/x/14896986. Carbondale Arts is hoping to raise $25,000 through this funding stream. Rosybelle is named in honor of Ro Mead, former Carbondale Arts Executive Director, who died in October 2015. All donations are tax deductible.
