Join Carbondale Arts and The Project Shop on September 8th from 11am to 2pm for a DIY Stencil Screenprinting workshop What in this fun-filled, hands-on crash course, students will learn and apply the basics of screenprinting utilizing hand cut stencils, skipping all the traditional chemicals and equipment-heavy processes. Emphasis will be on the range of experimentation and creative expression possible with the media to develop original and unique multi-colored artwork. Students will be working from an inventory of pre-cut stencils, or are welcome to bring inspiring imagery to work from and create their own stencil. We will be working in the 8×10 image size using non-toxic water-based acrylic inks, and students will learn all the skills and know-how to pursue this process on their own beyond the workshop. No experience necessary! This adult workshop will be held at Max.Ink Project Shop at SAW (Studio for Arts & Works, 525 Buggy Circle, Carbondale) Cost $100 including materials
This workshop accompanies the Print Works show at the R2 Gallery on exhibit through September 7th.
